Great Mouthpiece.
Comments about J & D Hite Premiere Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:
I have enjoyed the mouthpiece so far. I still have trouble getting the low notes, but the low D is easier. I would recomend this product. I am a parttime player and this was an affordable option.

An Excellent Choice
Comments about J & D Hite Premiere Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:
This is really a great mouthpiece! I couldn't believe it. Price has nothing to do with it, but that makes it a great choice too. The size of it is larger than most, so depending on how large your mouth is, comfort could be an issue. I really like the size myself, and find it more comfortable than most mouthpieces. The sound is fantastic and much better than many mouthpieces. I would say it is has a large chamber which is great for producing a nice full sound. Some people talk about sound in terms of brightness or darkness, more bright being more sharp sounding, more dark being a softer sound. In those terms, I would say this mouthpiece will add a lot of darkness (soft fullness) to your sound. If that is not what you are looking for, this is probably not the mouthpiece for you. The range of notes you can get with it is also fantastic. Low B flat is very easy to get, and the notes just above it. I also found the very highest notes that are normally played are also easy to get. Excellent range compared to many mouthpieces I've tried. The difference between this mpc and the Hite Artist model is that the Artist will be a little harder to play (just a bit), and there will be a little more edge or brightness to the sound. I also found the sound can be manipulated more with the Artist model. Other than that, I found very little difference. If you're looking to save $50, more of a beginner, don't play jazz or just want an easy to play great sounding mpc, go with the Premier. Otherwise, you should check out the Hite Artist.
