My son plays a Cannonball alto and I was going to get him the Selmer C* series mouthpiece but they were out of stock. I went with this Hite and there are no regrets. The sound is so pure and he says it plays very well. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't heard the Selmer but I can't imagine it being much better.

Found this piece not long after I started playing seriously. It's been years later and I have yet to find one I like better. It can go with your style of expression with ease. I use a Rico Royal 2 1/2 with a Rovner ligature for a nice set up.

I have come to use no other Mouthpiece on Alto and Tenor and now on my Bari also.Best dollar / sound and playability I've found. The Hite mouthpiece is a clean powerful easy blowing dynamically flexible mouthpiece for a great price. I can't boast enough of how good they make my horns sound. Selmer alto, buffet Tenor, Buescher and Taiwan Bari's all sound great with the Hite. I sent back, Morgans C3, Runyon's, Rousseau's and Otto Links and settled on these Hite's for their even sound throughout the range and intonation and dynamic flexibility

The Hite is the best mouthpiece I've ever played on and I've played on about 20 pieces. It's the most free blowing of any that I've played and sounds great while projecting like none other. It is easily one of the top 5 mouthpieces out there.
