We purchased this piccolo after reading the other reviews and we are not disappointed. Our band director was very impressed with its sound and ability to reach the highest notes. He couldn't believe what a great deal we got on this piccolo. I would recommend this piccolo for any level player. It has great sound!

If you feel you've mastered the flute or you want to try something more challenging, you should try this out. I was given this just last year and it was different and similar to a flute in many ways. The embrochure is tighter and smaller, the fingerings are the same but have to be done lighter. The tone is beautiful when it is on pitch, I highly recommend this piccolo because you will fall in love and everyone else around you will want one.

This is a great piccolo. If you know all the keys and fingerings for the flute, you will make a smooth transistion to this piccolo.

I wouldn't recommend this piccolo for anyone. It got me through 3 years of HS orchestra and band. It was able to blend pretty well in an orchestra with an additional piccolo (and stay pretty well in tune). I finally needed an upgrade to a more professional instrument in college however.

Although I did not buy this piccolo (high school property), I enjoy the quality and sound. The first few weeks were hard to adjust from flute to picc, but that's normal. I love it. I'm addicted.

I received my 4sp piccolo 2 days ago and it's so easy to play!!! If you play the flute, all you have to get right is the embouchure. Once you get that, you've got it made. I'm still having to get used to blowing harder and everything, but I love it!!! It really is easy to play.
