Comments about Frederick Hemke Tenor Saxophone Reeds:

The French cut Frederick Hemke reeds are of excellent quality. I have been in 2 1/2 hour rehearsals all this week for a big show coming up next week at the Sondhiem Center. I play a Selmer Mark VI tenor and I am using a Paris "Alexandre' B-flat hard rubber mouthpiece. The Hemke reed has held up wonderfully well. I used the same reed for all five rehearsals this week. Love the quality and the service from Music 123. Way to go guys! I thank you for keeping me on top of my game with your service.

    Responsive but too airy

Comments about Frederick Hemke Tenor Saxophone Reeds:

These reeds are not bad but for me and other people I've talked to, too airy. If you have a tendency to have an obnoxious tone or are into the airy thing, these are for you. They respond and resonate decently on my S80 C* but, still will not take the place of my beloved La Voz MH's. If you naturally play too brilliantly and need a reed to tame your sound, these are for you. Otherwise, I'd try La Voz instead.
