Fibracell reeds deliver vibrant tone with great longevity.
They have brilliant overtones for a full, resonant tone, a quick response for better articulation, and excellent pitch stability and intonation, even for clarinet. Best of all, they have the same woody tone as cane but with better projection. Fibracell reeds even have the same weight and stiffness as cane (cane floats and so does Fibracell!) but they last up to 4 times longer with no unplayable reeds and aren't affected by heat or humidity. With their high strength and long-lasting durability, they're less likely to give out on you in the middle of a performance, too.
What is Fibracell?
Fibracell is a sophisticated composite of aerospace materials designed to exactly duplicate the way nature constructs the cane that goes into the very best cane reeds. Very stiff but sound-absorbing Kevlar fibers are suspended in a lightweight rosin using extremely exacting production standards. Each reed is precisely machined and trimmed for a consistently perfect shape, so you get the same reed time and time again.

Comments about Fibracell Synthetic Alto Saxophone Reed:
I bought this reed for my daughter, who has been playing the alto sax for about 2 years now. She recently started complaining about her saxophone 'not working right' and had troubles playing it.
We tried different reeds and it appeared that the reeds were the issue. She tried different reeds with mixed results and a fair amount of useless reeds. We tried this Fibracell reed and she is very happy with it. School practice is coming along nicely and the can 'play' her instrument again. I recommend this product as a great beginner's tool.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Fibracell Synthetic Alto Saxophone Reed:
well I just recieved a fibercell 2 1/2 for alto and the same for tenor.Did'nt dig the tenor to much(so I'm sticking to wood for my tenor)but the alto was very interesting. My usual hardness in wood for alto is 3(but sometimes I have to work on them to get them to play right)Anyways i 've been playing this fibercell the last few days and let me tell you,it's avery interesting reed.Very fat tonebut the real cool thing about it is the harmonics you can get.it's alittle soft so next time i'll try a 3 (gotta really have a good embroushure to keep it in tune,up high for the most part).anyways my usual fingerings for my high notes above 3rd high E work but if you spend time(on your own fingerings experimenting) you can really get some great split over blows that are really hard to do on a wood reed.i'm gonna keep this reed in my alto arsonal and who knows i might start playing them as my reed of choise.I 've also noticed that you can play really soft and effortlessly with a feather like tone which is cool for the ballad thing.like i said you have to adjust to the intonation(the reed feels a little soft so maybe it's just me)but i think these reeds offer a very interesting alternative to wood..... worth a try.... keep blowin :)

Fibracell has been a revelation for me...
Comments about Fibracell Synthetic Alto Saxophone Reed:
I think I've pretty much tried 'em all. If it where nothing more than ultra longevity, this reed is worth it's weight in gold, However,, It's more than that. I use a vintage real nice metal Otto Link on Tenor. being (primarily) an Alto player I could never quite get the Tenor sound I heard in my head. ENTER FIBRACELL!!!!! Great projection speed & articulation, (AND) that indefinable edge I've been looking for...... Thank you, Fibracell for a reed that really cooks.....I'm going to try them on alto as well.

Long lasting
Comments about Fibracell Synthetic Alto Saxophone Reed:
I got one of these before starting school last year and I used it all through the year. I still have it and it's still in good condition.
