Fibracell reeds deliver vibrant tone with great longevity.

They have brilliant overtones for a full, resonant tone, a quick response for better articulation, and excellent pitch stability and intonation, even for clarinet. Best of all, they have the same woody tone as cane but with better projection. Fibracell reeds even have the same weight and stiffness as cane (cane floats and so does Fibracell!) but they last up to 4 times longer with no unplayable reeds and aren't affected by heat or humidity. With their high strength and long-lasting durability, they're less likely to give out on you in the middle of a performance, too.

What is Fibracell?

Fibracell is a sophisticated composite of aerospace materials designed to exactly duplicate the way nature constructs the cane that goes into the very best cane reeds. Very stiff but sound-absorbing Kevlar fibers are suspended in a lightweight rosin using extremely exacting production standards. Each reed is precisely machined and trimmed for a consistently perfect shape, so you get the same reed time and time again.

Comments about Fibracell Premier Synthetic Bass Clarinet Reed:

I felt that this was a supperior reed. There were no flaws to what I have seen or tried out and I enjoy the quality it produces. The one thing to get used to is the feel of the reed; feeling like a cane with the similar qualities of a Bari synthetic. Overall, I would recommend this reed.

Great Reed!!

Comments about Fibracell Premier Synthetic Bass Clarinet Reed:

I've been using Fibracell reeds exclusively for almost 3 years now. They feel and sound just like a real reed without any of the drawbacks of one (warping due to temperature changes, having to be reworked/shaved down). I've tried other synthetic reeds in the past and they all had a very blunt, almost fake sound. People in the concert band I perform in can't tell I am using a synthetic reed. The only bad experience I've had with one (and this is extremely minor) is that the plastic backing of the first one I owned wore off after about 6 months of constant playing. In the grand scheme of things to get 6 months to a year out of a reed is incredible. I will never use a real reed again!

Great sound

Comments about Fibracell Premier Synthetic Bass Clarinet Reed:

These reeds deliver the best bass clarinet sound I have hear, deep and clear! I haven't found a regular cane reed that delivers as great a sound. The only problem I have with them is how long they last. They last a very, very long time. You have to keep up with how long you have played the reed so you will know when to throw it away. When it is used up, it just stop playing which can be a problem during a performance.
