Quality is excellent for the price, not to mention that I bought it during a period when the flute was on sale and I even paid less !
The best quality of this flute is its good tone, I frankly cannot hear much difference between the Etude and a Yamaha student flute that I tried at my local store. The Etude is very well made, easy to play, I cannot judge about durability but I guess that if I take care of it it will last. Highly recommended, especially for the value for money.

The flute is a very good deal. Very good for beginer in school band. But the case is cheep. Both latchs and the handle broke. The plastic case brakes very easy. It is 3mo. old now, I will have to replace the case soon. But the flute is good price for benginer.

I bought this for my 15 year old Jr. High fultist. Her old, hand-me-down flute needed alot of small repairs and the cost to maintain an aging flute made this one the preferred option. Her music teacher raved about the sound from the "cheap" flute, and the size fit her smaller hands better than the old one. I know very little about flutes, but this one has made learning one more enjoyable for my daughter, and thats was worth the $ to me. Only time will tell, of course, about the durability. Flute quality seems top notch, the case and cleaning rod seem rather flimsy. Shipping was super fast; ordered Wed morning and received Fri afternoon. Highly recommend this flute and this merchant.
