Really incredible buy for the price
Comments about Etude EAS-100 Student Alto Saxophone:
Friend purchased an Etude alto as a gift for a new student. My friend (a very accomplished player) was really impressed with it. He called a couple of us over from our band and we all played it. Three of us each ordered one ourselves. Can't believe how well it plays for the price. As previously noted, reed and mthpc that came with it could maybe be improved on. I also put a meyer mthpc on it and diff reeds. on a tuner a few notes need tweaking but quite a pleasure to play. And for that price, really impressive.

VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE
Comments about Etude EAS-100 Student Alto Saxophone:
My Teacher owns a Conn and a Selmer. He played on my Etude and said it was surprisingly good for the price. The instrument made simple, it is an excellent choice for begginers. Beware you'll need to buy a box of good reeds and a mouthpiece, though. The reed that came with this sax is very poor and chipped in the very first day. the mouth piece is very regular. Also I purchased a new, reinforced neck strap. The one coming with this sax will come out very, very easily. So basicaly, good sax for the price, bad accesories. It pays to buy the accesories separatedly. Hope this helps you and have fun!

Excellent Horn, Excellent Value
Comments about Etude EAS-100 Student Alto Saxophone:
This sax is an incredible value.. It is sturdily built, has a focused tone, and excellent intonation. The case is durable and protects the instrument well. Though it is classified as a "student' instrument, it wil accomodate the beginner's musical growth for a long time.

Comments about Etude EAS-100 Student Alto Saxophone:
It's a great instrument. The sound is great, but the only thing I didn't like is that the neck was already bent.

Great Starter Instrument!
Comments about Etude EAS-100 Student Alto Saxophone:
I recently ordered this instrument for my son, who is in 4th grade. I have played a wind instrument my whole life and have had an Etude clarinet that still plays wonderfully after over 30 years. I was impressed at the tone and overall look of the saxophone. He has a long way to go, but he was able to get a very nice sound out of it while others in his class with more expensive instruments are still having problems. We are very satisfied with our order...and he is thrilled to have his OWN instrument. I would definitely recommend this to any beginning student.
