Chartier Bassoon reed - Medium Soft

Comments about Chartier Bassoon Reeds:

This is the best reed ever! Cheap and easy to play. We even tried a reed that was nearly 10 times this price that did not last as long as thie one. We must remember reeds are plants as such may not all be perfect. At this price do you really worry about one defective reed? We found you must soak your reed for 5 minutes the first time. After that you need to soak it for 1 minute before playing or they will split. We tried many other more expensive brands, Fox, Jones, and Vandoren heckel (excellent but did not last long), but none have lasted longer or were easier to play than the Chartier MEDIUM SOFT.. Remember to soak reed 5 minutes before the first use. We have had the same two Chartier reeds going strong while all of the more expensive reeds have already gone into the trash. HIGHLY recommended

Hmmm... not sure

Comments about Chartier Bassoon Reeds:

My son claims that he took one of the two reeds we ordered him out of the box and it upon trying to use it, it split right away. He has not reported on the second reed as of yet, but.... Now it should be noted that my son is 14 years old but he is also first chair and an excellent player. So I have to put some faith in his judgment. He has assured me that I should not purchase this reed again.
