not great

By Anonymous-Opo33

Comments about Amati ACL 261 Intermediate Eb Soprano Clarinet:

This clarinet is playable, but it isn't the greatest. The higher notes are a bit hard to play and the tone isn't very pleasing to the ear. If you're thinking about buying an Eb. I would suggest paying a couple more hundred and get a Buffet. Through all my experience, no clarinet has matched up to the buffet clarinet line. Also, the clarinet and its case smells really odd. I have tried airing out the case by leaving it open for a few days, yet the smell is still there. Finally, if you do decide to buy this clarinet, I suggest you buy a separate mouthpiece, the one that comes with the clarinet is HORRIBLE.

Great Deal!!

Comments about Amati ACL 261 Intermediate Eb Soprano Clarinet:

This clarinet is great! For the price and comparing it to much more expensive clarinets, there is no comparison. I play it with three different groups and get nothing but rave reviews on its sound from other group members and persons attending our concerts.
