The Ridenour Clarinet Thumb Saddle reduces tension, increases relaxation and endurance and promotes correct hand position. You'll never play the clarinet again without it!

The Ridenour Thumb Saddle eliminates the "pinch" tension between the thumb and fingers by simply opening the hand up. The increased openness promotes the needed relaxation without throwing the thumb and fingers out of balance. The curved fingers promote a much more efficient finger motion and increased endurance

Comments about Ridenour Clarinet Thumb Saddle:

Comfortable, but I transfer between clarinets so it needs to be made sturdier.

Comments about Ridenour Clarinet Thumb Saddle:

The thumb rest itself is fine, and definitely the kind I was looking for, however, it doesn't fit over the attatched metal thumb rest on my Buffet R13 model... it looks like it would fit over most normal thumb rests, but I know the R13 isn't the only model that has a larger adjustable thumb rest, so it's definitely a drawback that this thumb saddle doesn't really work with it.

But still, if it does fit with your clarinet or you can adjust it to make it fit, then it works fine and makes playing much more comfortable.
