Comments about Alfred Solos for Young Violists Vol. 1 (Book):
This is a really nice series of repertoire for late beginner to early intermediate viola players. These books are my recommended next step after completing Essential Elements 2000 for Strings levels 1 and 2. I love this series as the difficulty builds throughout the book, gradually yet swiftly. Be sure to purchase the Viola and Piano books, as well as the CD. The piano accompaniment is essential for solo performances, and the CD's are essential tools to help learn the songs more accurately and quickly.
