Made for a lifetime of fiddling and musical fun at a price you can live with today.

A quality instrument that comes set up for fast and furious fiddling, the Silver Creek Model 5 Fiddle is handcrafted in Europe from all solid wood and has a hand-applied spirit varnish finish. It has a solid carved spruce top, solid bookmatched flamed-maple back, flamed maple sides, one-piece flamed maple neck, maple bridge, ebony fingerboard, ebony tuning pegs, ebony bridge with fine tuners, and ebony Guarneri chin rest.

The crown, or arch of the bridge is somewhat flatter than the French arch used on most classical bridges and facilitates playing double and triple stops and very rapid string crossing. The ebony Guarneri chinrest has a flat-top arm over the tailpiece for more positioning and playing options. The Model 5 comes set up with D'Addario Prelude strings.

Not what it's described to be

Comments about Silver Creek Model 5 Fiddle Outfit:

I bought this violin specifically for my daughter's high school orchestra tonight. I bought a 4/4 and what I got was not a 4/4 violin. Both of my daughter's professional orchestra teachers said that this is not a 4/4 violin and it's not a 3/4 either. It's right in between. Very disappointed! I paid all that money for a 4/4 and it's noticeably smaller than a 4/4. It looks and plays great, but the disadvantage of it not being a 4/4 far outweighs it's positives.
