It's louder than a stock single-coil, and smoother and fatter-sounding all around. When you combine the FS-1 in the bridge with Class of '55s or Blue Velvet(TM) in the middle and neck, you'll have a guitar with calibrated, balanced tone in all five switch positions. For a bigger, more aggressive sound all around, you can also install FS-1 pickups in all three positions.
DiMarzio didn't design the FS-1 with a vintage sound in mind, but if you're trying to get a blues sound from the bridge position of a maple-neck Strat, you'll be very happy with the extra mids and bass, and the sound still cleans up when the volume is rolled down.

One Powerful Pickup!

Comments about DiMarzio DP110 FS-1 Guitar Pickup:

The Dimarzio FS-1 is one powerful pickup! The pickup has a nice bright sound. I have one installed in the bridge position of my 1974 Fender Stratocaster. The FS-1 by itself gives a nice treble response when you are looking for less bass. Give this one a spin!

What a great pickup!

Comments about DiMarzio DP110 FS-1 Guitar Pickup:

I have one of these babies in my 1974 Fender Stratocaster and it realy rocks! Combine it with a Dimarzio HS-3 single coil and you have a nice balance of tone somewhere between bass and treble sounds. Not too much of one or the other; but just right.Give the Dimarzio FS-1 a try and you will see what I mean. Rock On!
