Musician's Gear

Make your Axe hotter and quieter.

The Scorcher is an entry-level rail pickup that has a powerful ceramic magnet and intense coil windings to drive amps harder than a stock guitar pickup. The Scorcher's 2 coils cancel any annoying 60-cycle hum.

Designed by Seymour Duncan engineers and priced for players on a budget. Order today.

Comments about Musician's Gear Scorcher Pickup:

I wanted a very clean, very high output single coil strat/tele pickup to be included in my seven-sound Strat modification. T he addition of using this Duncan in the bridge position with this mod [adding a mini toggle switch] left the 5-way selector switch combinations untouched and added two other combinations. The Duncan Scorcher Pickup by Musician's Gear was the low cost, great quality pickup choice. These pickups howl at their output of 24K yet provide great highs, mids and good volume. Don't assume these are cheap pickups, they carry the "Duncan" name. I liked the results so much I purchased three in total adding one to my vintage strat [using Fender Vintage Noiseless set with the added Scorcher Pickup by Musician's Gear], one to my Peavey Powerslide and the final as a center pickup for my vintage Ibanez EX1500. I spoke to Duncan support to get some additional specs on this pup, it is very comparable to the Duncan "Hot Rails" line. So, their lower cost = by having them built overseas, not by using lower grade materials. Cons, seems this pup works best in bridge position and is very bright [using caps can tone it down a good deal]. I recommend this to anyone who wants real Duncan quality for lower $$$.

Comments about Musician's Gear Scorcher Pickup:

I put this pickup in my DouSonic and it made an amazing difference. They produce a very strong, clean sound. I use mild distortion and it comes through perfect. This is a great little pickup at a great price.
