The CME UF8 88-Key MIDI Controller brings together quality components with topnotch performance. You'll have professional control over all your soft synths and synth modules. The blue-tint aluminum body is durable and sleek, offering a stylish housing for the 88 hammer-action, velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch.
It also houses pitch and modulation wheels; 8 assignable knobs and 9 assignable sliders that also have preset functions; an LED display; and DAW transport controls. I/O includes a breath controller port, MIDI out, USB port, and an M-LAN-compatible FireWire audio expansion port. The USB connection can works as a USB/MIDI port and supplies power for the controller.
The UF8's best feature is hidden away under it's rugged aluminum case and beautiful 88-key board: its action. The smooth, consistent action feels absolutely perfect from C to C, modeled carefully after a real grand piano and eliminating the awkward on/off aftertouch found on most controllers.

Masterkeyboard CME-UF8(October2005, tested 2 red versions): Keys are good to play after initial stuck - but always getting stuck again after 30 minutes rest. Maybe the lubricate or any moving material got frozen on the transport from china to Europe? I wonder why CME is ignoring this issue. Buyers will find out sooner or later, thousands of UF8s might be returned and a damaging reputation is quite unnecessary for an otherwise excellent Masterkeyboard !...CME, are You listening? - say something, please offer a SOLUTION about the KEY STUCK PROBLEM: (testable fact is: "UF8 keys are good to play after initial stuck but always getting stuck again after 30minutes rest.")

This is by far the best action on any keyboard available. It's possible that it is the best action that has ever existed in a controller or synth. It has real grading to the velocity and a forgiving keybed. You can play it hard and not feel like you are battering your arms. Do a little comparison in your local store. That will be enough to sell you on it.
