Great solid wood guitar

By downtime

from Undisclosed

This is a very good value for an all solid wood guitar. The 000 size with the 1 3/4" nut and short scale length make for a very comfortable playing guitar that and is actually quite versatile for fingerstyle or strumming. For best playability have the guitar professionally setup and you will have a great playing and sounding guitar. I have owned both the T-170 (rosewood) and T-160 (mahogany) and in my opinion the T-160 is lighter and more resonant with a nice dry, woody tone. If you can't afford the Martin 000-28ec, like most of us, this is a great inexpensive alternative.

Alot of guitar for the money

By Zalmo

from Brooklny, NY

Decent workmanship and materilas make this a good buy. Similar to a Martin but at a great discount due to its Oriental manufacturing. Also, a very comfortable alternative to a standard dreadnaught due to its OOO size/shape. Particularly pleasing to women I would think due to its diminuished body shape and size.

A Great Buy

By Gary-LpCqb

from Omaha, Ne.

I currently have a Taylor, Guild and Gibson flat top guitars and wanted a cheaper guitar for camping trips.I bought the T-170 first and fell in love with the sound and playability. I then bought the T-160 because of the different sound that mahogany has.I am not going as far to say that the SilverCreek sounds as good as the Taylor but pretty close. I will say that the Silvercreek plays and sounds better than my Gibson J-40. If you don't mind a guitar made in China, Silvercreek is good instrument for the money.
