Best...Bass...EVER!!!
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
The Warwick Thumb 5-String is the only bass that IMO is truly perfect. The body's shape, weight, and size seemed to fit on me perfectly. The neck felt like it was built just for my hands and was so easy to slide on. The pickups pack a low-end punch and a high-end ring that are unrivaled by anything I have ever played before. The electronics allow you to warp the sound to anything you could possibly imagine, and finally the bridge and the neck-through design together allows for a sustain that sounds like it lasts forever. In short this is the greatest bass in the world and the people at Warwick are truly artists in their craft. If you can afford it, buy this bass.

I'd give my own thumb for it
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
One word, amazing. There is no sound that cannot be created, I play metal with it, and funk, and anything else you can imagine. It's an unstoppable force of God and would never consider playing anything else. The only downfall is it's power, don't read this the wrong way, you CANNOT play this guitar through a low wattage amp and expect good sound. If you're playing this caliber of a bass, you need an amp of the same.

Unmatched lows, monster mid growl, silky highs!
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
This is my first Thumb 5 neck through with Bubinga/Ebony. I have owned many 5s for the huge tone naming Roscoe SKB, Yamaha TRB, Spector Euro, Curbow, Tobias and other Warwick (Thumb B/O). The balance of this bass in your hands is amazing and the petite body and rear contour fits snuggly and comfortably. Dialing in any tone is no problem from old school funk to buttery R&B to straight up Rock! The neck is very fast and rock solid (neck through). This may be the most versatile bass I have ever owned! I would buy another one immediately if this one was missing. You expect quite lot when you lay out a few thousand plus bucks for an upper level bass, and this one is worth it!

Used by many bassists around the world. Great wood used on the neck and body. The neck through design makes it sound even better!

Yes
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
I have been a fan of Warwick ever since I owned my first one. The Warwick Thumb, any number of strings, is the way to go. There is no bass out there with the beautiful treble and the low growl of a Warwick Thumb. Not to mention the comfort of the necks. That's not just the Thumb, that's every Warwick out there.

The "Bass Of All Trades"
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
I've used the Warwick Thumb 5 String Neck Through Bass extensively live and in the studio. I have not found a sound that I couldn't create, duplicate, nor a style that I couldn't play with accuracy on this bass. The wood makes the tone fabulously full and consistent. The pickups and electronics are superb, and the action is unbelievable. I can't believe the B string punch on just a 34" scale! All the strings sound equally balanced and sweet. The sound is punchy, direct and focused even when you've got a lot of bottom dialed in. I don't know what you could do to make this bass better. There are about 5 truly great basses on this planet. This is one of them. I've owned other Warwick....Thumb 5 Bolt On, and the Mighty 6 Bolt On. They are great. But...this is absolutely the best!

Warwick Tone
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
Warwick basses have the most consistent tone of any basses that I have ever used. Even when you run direct w/o a preamp the tone is amazing. On all their five string models, including the passive ones, the b string is concise with a perfectly balanced frequency. There isn't a company who compares to their craftsmanship or quality.

Smooth and punchy!
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
We just borrowed one of these to record a full length CD project. It sustains for eternity and is smooth as silk! It will melt you in the sweet spots and then stomp on you when it's time to get crunchy!

Funk Me UP!
Comments about Warwick Thumb Bass 5-String Bass:
This baby is pure "Funk". Although it is kind of a heavy tight little package, the punch is a KO every time.
