An exciting alternative acoustic-electric design.
The Ibanez EWB205WNE is an exciting alternative to traditional acoustic-electric bass designs. This 5-string cutaway is based on the Ibanez Exotic Woods design, it has a larger body for augmented low-end tone and the ability to work in both plugged and unplugged situations. The standard 34" scale allows excellent articulation and improved projection while the choice woods and body style create a unique aesthetic appearance. Features a Fishman Sonicore pickup with Ibanez electronics and includes balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

This bass impressed me right out of the box. I turned on the tuner expecting to have to install batteries, but instead, I got some little lights and with very little adjustment, it was in tune. The action out of the box is perfect. Absolutely perfect. No fret buzz at all - not even on the low B, and it is nice and low. The strings aren't too bad, but they're easily replaceable, and taste in strings is very subjective. It's very well balanced with a strap. The "exotic" wood grain is a little hard to see because it's so dark, and the finish is kinda glossy, but it's still nice. even playing slap it sounds articulate. I'm impressed. it's a great bass.
