Overall: I have this guitar and I'll tell you this is one of the best Epiphones you can get. The neck is great for shredding because of it's slim-taper neck. The 24-fret neck instead of 22 makes it easy to hit those high notes. The Grover tuners keep this guitar in tune for a long time. Even after doing many bends it's still in tune. Anyone who have SGs would know that it has seriously bad neck dive, but not this one. The body is a little bit thicker but not heavy. Overall: This guitar rocks! You can shred with the bridge pick up and sound amazing or chug away at the neck. Sounds a bit bassy on the clean chanel, but why would you want to play it clean! Also a bit top heavy!| Review By: Bo A | 5 years, 3 weeks ago63 people out of 141 found this review helpful
Overall: I bought this guitar last fall and I was very impressed by the sound and the feel of the neck. Despite its looks, this guitar is actually quite versatile. Here are some of the problems.......the body is very light and while playing standing up, the guitar tips very easily....also the sustain on the last couple of frets is quite poor. Overall a very good guitar though.| Review By: s0_drunk | 5 years, 4 weeks ago54 people out of 91 found this review helpful
Overall: I just bought this guitar about a week ago and all I have to say is amazing all around from the look, to the sound to the way it plays. The neck felt alot longer because the cut away is so far down. But I wouldn't call it a flaw I got used to it in about 10 minutes and actually prefer it now. The jumbo frets make it feel so smooth. I have a 50watt Traynor tube amp. When I throw this bad boy in to its clean channel it roars.| Review By: md productions | 5 years, 3 months ago38 people out of 70 found this review helpful
Overall: I have been playing guitar for 15 years and have a large selection of guitars including Gibson Les Paul and Gibson double neck SG, but this guitar just took my breath away the first second I started playing it. Saying this guitar is amazing is an understatement. Let me tell you, this guitar is better than a Gibson SG standard. Believe me, I've played both of them for a long time. The machine heads on this guitar are better than the Gibson SG. It just wont go out of tune. It's| Review By: Bob-T0vQZ | 6 years, 1 month ago28 people out of 57 found this review helpful
Overall: I have had this guitar for five years and it is the best one so far. It makes a perfect guitar for a band or just playing alone. If you are thinking about getting a new electric guitar get this one and get a Marshall amp to go with it. Stick with this guitar.| Review By: Cook-Jsb5I | 6 years, 3 months ago56 people out of 122 found this review helpful
Overall: I bought this guitar in Leeds. At the time I was playing classic rock, but it's adjusted nicely into its new role as my threshing machine. I was looking for a dual-humbucker, heavy rock rhythm axe, and I looked at a few Paul's, but they seemed too heavy. Then I played this beauty on an whim, and loved it. It has a bassy growl on the neck pickup, which transforms into a metal roar on the bridge, perfect for Sabbath's gloomy rhythms and doom laden riffs. Unfortunately, the cleans are a| Review By: joe-tO_SL | 6 years, 4 months ago44 people out of 84 found this review helpful
Overall: The guitar is just so awesome. The pickups are amazing. it's not heavy at all. Very nice look, and great sound. This is definitely the best guitar that I have ever played.| Review By: chris-h8cSJ | 6 years, 10 months ago56 people out of 103 found this review helpful
Overall: I ordered this guitar five months ago and waited patiently for it to arrive from backorder. It was worth it. Epiphone makes good guitars. They truly do. I have owned many, many guitars including Gibson SG's. Honestly speaking the only guitar that compares to the Iommi is a nicely upgraded G-400 with maybe Burstbucker pickups. This guitar is a better feeling/sounding instrument than Gibson Sg's with the exception of the '61 SG.
