These are the best strings I've ever played and I've played a lot of different kinds. GHS, Blue Steel, Ernie Ball of all different kinds, DR, SIT, these strings beat them all. The sound is amazing and the heavy gauge is perfect for downtuning (I tune to B). If you're new to Nanoweb strings, they feel kind of "greasy" because of the coating, but you get used to it fast. They retain their tone for a very long time, twice as long as my Ernie Balls did, and cleaning them with string cleaner seems to give much better results. Some people have reported early string breakage with lighter gauges but I have never had any problems with lighter gauges so long as you don't treat them like they're invincible. And with the heavier gauges, I have yet to experience any string breakage at all. I've even tuned these 12 gauge ones to standard E tuning and they took whatever beating I could dish out. All in all probably the best strings I've ever played and I don't foresee switching any time soon.
