Comments about Shure PG57-XLR Instrument Microphone:
This mic does its job reasonably well. I've used it for just about everything a small band would do. It works on most everything; it needed a good bit of EQ help when in the bass drum, but sounded fine with that. I've tried overhead mic-ing my drums and this mic does not do a very good job of picking up the cymbals; they are either not there of way too faint. This mic does work well with vocals though. They could sell this thing as a vocal mic as far as I can tell.
