Comments about Roland TRI-CAPTURE: USB Audio Interface:
The Roland UA-33 Tri-capture is a simple audio interface. Inputs include mike, instrument, & RCA. Outputs include quarter inch & RCA. The interface is small & lightweight. I definitely have some concerns regarding its durability, as the housing is entirely made of plastic. The drivers installed easily, & the documentation was surprisingly thorough & helpful.
The interface has 3 recording modes--mike/guitar, all outputs, & loopback, which can be used to record output from your computer. This makes the interface ideal for recording gaming or audio streaming & makes it a great podcasting tool.
The unit is controlled primarily by knobs, so the interface is hands-on & intuitive.
The unit works by default using 44100, 16-bit khz sampling. It can be used in 96k sampling rate, but some features are unavailable under those circumstances.
For those w/sight impairments, let me just say that the unit is completely accessible & usable. Although the recording mode LED cannot be read by a blind person, the unit always returns to the mike/guitar mode when disconnected, so it's always possible to know which recording mode is selected.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
