Solid, Smooth and Silky!
Comments about Rode Microphones NT1000 Microphone:
What to do?! What to do?! I did a lot of research in this price range for a decent workhorse mic. I have a long history of recording in simple and high end studios, so I have heard the big money gear and the lower end gear for years. My gear budget needed to cover other gear too, so I had to make wise choices. The NT1000 had a consistant record of impressing pro reviewers and reviews from people like me out here in the home recording world were usually pretty positive. So ...... I made the decision to buy one of these. I was really impressed at what I was hearing from my investment and that's what a mic is, an investment in dollars and in the outcome of our recordings. I've mostly used mine to mic a Marshall cab and to record acoustic guitar (I do instrumentals, so I haven't used it on vocals yet). It has a definite higher end, smooth quality to it. I've been working it hard for 2 years with impressive results and it's built rock solid. It's just a quality piece of gear that holds it's value pretty well because the Rode name holds respect..

Sweet Sound...
Comments about Rode Microphones NT1000 Microphone:
I bet most of the sound engineers will consider RODE mics as the most commerciallyreliable mics.. Take the Nueman and Akg's.. they always need to cut frequencies and mould the tone, but in the RODE NT1000, you get a sweet high and a commercial sound right from your preamp. No cutting, No messing with the EQ. For the fast food muscian, this is a time saver. It has a sweet high sound and makes your vocals sound clear and sharp. It may not be recommended for all types of singing (female solo sound too sharp on the ear, But female chorus can be surprisingly good). Since popular music sound is more ear pleasing, this mic DOES THE JOB without hassle! The mic is strongly made and has a classy look to it.. but just go for the sound.

Great Vox Mic
Comments about Rode Microphones NT1000 Microphone:
I've been using this mic for lead and backing vocals, and some acoustic instrument recording. I think the results have been spectacular! This mic grabs every nuance, yet maintains a very bright, crisp and clean sound. Have gotten less from more expensive mics. Got to be close to the best for the money.

A great mic....
Comments about Rode Microphones NT1000 Microphone:
This is a great microphone. It has an extremely low noise level (6 db) and is bright and clear. It also has high SPL and dynamic range. I have mostly used it on acoustic instruments and haven't had any problem with it. Good build quality and low price make it an excellent choice.
