Extremely low self-noise and the highest SPL transmission!
The large diaphragm Neumann TLM-103 Microphone is at home in even the finest project studios. Provides platinum-quality sound on a bronze budget. Neumann uses transformerless circuitry for ultralow self-noise and this mic handles sound pressure levels up to 138dB. Cardioid polar pattern optimizes attenuation of unwanted sound and suppresses feedback. The TLM-103 Microphone has a protective wire mesh grille that protects the capsule and prevents pop noises. Frequency range: 20Hz to 20kHz. Impedance: 50 ohms.
Requires phantom power.

Great harmonic response
Comments about Neumann TLM-103 Microphone:
I'm a professional multi-instrumentalist, trumpet, saxes, keys, vocals. I know the sounds I want. I recorded in a studio with this mic and was astounded, particularly with the harmonics I heard during my trumpet solos. My sound with that particular horn and mic combo really came alive. Some horns play differently, but I've recorded with several mics before, and this is the best I've recorded with. If you're a horn player looking for a mic that really captures your horn's harmonics, frequencies and response, I highly recommend this mic. I'm sure it works just as well with stronger vocalists and any other application. Highly recommended. I'll be purchasing one for my home studio very soon.
