This shockmount usually comes with the regular MXL990 kit but it does not come with the MXL 990 USB Powered Condenser Microphone which only supplies a small desktop tripod stand. Trouble with the tripod stand on the desktop, it's usually too close to the computer picking up any hum or fan noise or tabletop vibrations. Better to buy the shock mount for a mic stand - it does a great job of isolating the microphone from any vibrations traveling up the mic stand.
