Noisy piece of gear.
Comments about Lexicon Lambda USB Desktop Studio:
I bought this piece of gear thinking it would be great to connect my guitar rig to the Cubase LE using the usb port. I have tried everything to get this working and can only get one side either L or R to work without noise and latency. I have tried the mic 1 and 2 and line-in 1 and 2 as well as midi connections from my gt pro. Nothing will work without one side being out of timing and noisy. This is another piece of junk that alot of people will buy not knowing how to use it, and then realizing, once it is finally working with all the licensing of the software and such, that it has serious latency and noise issues.
I don't recommend this gear to anyone. Save yourself the grief. Buy something else.

For small projects or self recording: Perfect Buy
Comments about Lexicon Lambda USB Desktop Studio:
First and foremost, make sure your computer is compatible with this product. When I bought it, my computer didn't have the necessary components to support the Lambda, so I couldn't even use it for the first 3 months! Once my computer had downloaded everything, I was in business! The Cubase LE software that comes with the Lambda is great! It's really easy to use, and there is plenty you can do with it. When I first bought this Lambda, it was everything I needed. Now that I'm recording bigger acts, the interface simply cant's support everything I want to do. Having one instrument input in the front is very convenient if you're just recording yourself, but having all the other inputs on the back makes it difficult to record and monitor yourself. Overall, definitely worth the price (could probably run for a lot more), but just be careful that it is really what you need: if you're only recording yourself or doing simple one instrument recordings, then this is the way to go; if you plan on recording other people, you might want to keep saving your money and get something more suitable. When it comes to recording larger sessions, there simply aren't enough inputs, the interface doesn't give sufficient monitoring levels, and the location of the inputs can be a hassle.
