I buy these when they are on sale mostly for vocal tracking (for the vocalist to wear when being recorded). In this price range, they have the lowest spill (sound escaping) of any headset I've tried (I don't want the instrument track to make it from the headset to the microphone). You can often find these at a good price and then they are hard to beat if you don't want the sound to spill out into the microphone. I also use them as basic monitors for live mixing.
These benefit significantly from some break-in. I run music through them for 2 to 3 days continuously with medium (almost loud) volume before really using them. They lose some muddiness and the sound opens up a bit across the frequency spectrum that lacks when you first plug them in.
Just on sound quality merit, they are a bit muddy and the midrange is not very big, but still overall better than many headsets in the same price range – but you can almost certainly find better sound by spending more than their normal price. Again, though, their control of spill and isolation compete with headsets nearly twice the price.
The long cord is great for tracking, too, and they are not too heavy or uncomfortable, and they should stay on fairly well on a singer that likes to move around.

The fit and finish is really quite good. They are very lightweight, fit comfortably, and the cord is very long. The overall frequency response leaves something to be desired, but for the sale price, it's worth it. They're no high end headphones that's for sure. For what it's worth they fit very well on my 3 year old grandson's head. And he likes them too.

Comments about Gear One G900DX Headphones:
Picked these up while on sale so I could listen and watch movies on my ipad. Comfortable and great sound for this purpose. Would recommend if you get them on sale. Don't think they are worth full retail, but suitable for my purposes at a sale price.

Comments about Gear One G900DX Headphones:
I ordered these 3 days ago and they arrived yesterday. I've hardly taken them off since then. These are the most comfortable set of headphones I've ever put on. Also of note, the part which always breaks on cheap sets is made of metal on these, so I anticipate them holding up well.
As for the sound? I am admittedly not a professional. However, I'm listening to very familiar tracks and hearing things I hadn't previously noticed.
I am buying another set while they're on sale. I suppose that says a lot about the value.

Comments about Gear One G900DX Headphones:
Great headphones! I was lucky and caught these on a great sale, thought what the heck and bought 2 pair. After I plugged in for the first time I realized that I will never stumble across a better deal in my life. They sound great playing guitar or listening to music. Songs I have heard hundreds of times before sound so much better, so much clearer. When I play guitar the bass isn't over powering. I have wore them for several hours at a time and never felt heavy on my head or slipped once even during serious jamming. If you are looking for quality instead of a big name endorser, buy these!
