I have 3 mics 2 wireless sm58 and audio Technica and one straight XLR Fender p-51I play out regularly in my band.However I record on XP Sonar 4Behringer 1204fx mixerDelt 44 audio InterfaceI have been recording now for 3 months vocals on this mic are just as good if not better than a sm57(I use mine for recording however I used it once or twice at a gig it held up nicely ) Rock On-

I have done sound for over 20 years in many different venues. Currently, I am doing the sound for a small church. We have a small vocal group (weekly) and several instruments on occasion that all must be miked. I have been using the P51's that were provided and finding them on the week side. I also found the pickup pattern does not match factory specs. While they are doing the job, SM58s would do it better. I also find the P51s a little tinny. If you are on a tight budget, P51s will likely do most common church needs (voice 14" max. & guitars). However, I'll be switching over to SM57&58s as soon as we can find a budget.

A friend gave it to me as a present, and I have used it ever since for recording to the PC through my mixer and as a live mic. It's better than some more expensive Senheisers. Sounds quite like Shure SM 58, only needs a bit more gain I think. The asking price is silly. If you can't buy an SM-58, buy this!
