High priced Junk

By Don-.5PP.

from oregon

Comments about DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor:

I cannot believe I spent nearly two hundred dollars for this piece of junk. Most multi effects these days are out standing at least for the compression and noise gate as well as reverb. but this thing just sucks power. I seems so worthless I cant believe I am using it right. If I end up mistaken I will certainly get back to you but right now I won't even use it at home.

sweet!

Comments about DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor:

I have seen all kinds of things on the market today, but nothing like this. Not only does it have a pedal, and better effects than a g2, but it has live recording. So believe me when I say this is the best thing on the market!

Great tool!!!

By chuck h.

Comments about DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor:

Easy to use, built very well, excellent sound quality and efx... An overall great product for the price! What is there not to like about it? I plan on using it for both live vocals and horn work - a`la Miles during the fusion hey-day. If you're a horn player looking for those retro fusion efx and sounds in one unit, this pedal is a dream come true! The "mic tube preamp" section is very sweet sounding! Lots of great stuff on this unit... Two thumbs up!

It is not bad at all

By Steve-5Zy.w

Comments about DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor:

This thing does not do anything that a good live sound engineer couldn't do, but maybe you don't have a good live sound engineer??? (I don't). This thing actually does work. It is very quiet, and opperates smoothly. Admitedly, most of the presets are virtually worthless (but that is probably not what you want it for... you probably only want one or two settings - right? you just want to sound good). If you want to dial in a custom sound, that is full and well matched to your voice, you actually can do it with this thing. Nothing beats a good live sound engineer, but you do not always have one. I used this to set up two settings, one for my vocals, and one for when I was chopping on my harp... and it worked well. It does not support phantom power, so if you are using a condensor mic, you will have to provide your own outboard phantom power, but that is simple enough these days too.

It actually works, if fyou actually need one.

By Steve-5Zy.w

Comments about DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor:

This thing does not do anything that a skilled sound engineer could not do for you - if you had one - sitting out at the front of house board... but like I said... "if you had one". Further... it is hard to know what the "house" sounds like from "on stage". On the other hand... this thing actually does work... and you caqn dial in a pretty nice mix for your vocals with it. It is very quiet, and smoooth to operate, and not too hard to figure out even. Admittedly, most of the presets are virtually useless... but you don't need a thousand different settings... right... you just want one or two that sond good. I used this thing to set up two different settings, one for my vocals, and one for when I was playing my harp... and I could switch back and forth pretty easily, and very quietly. I was able to cut all the highs from the harp setting, and boost the reverb considerably.. which is what I wanted to do. Less is usuaally more when it actually comnes down to vocal effects, but this nthing had some nice features, and I was able to get what I wanted out if it. It does not support phantom power, so if fyou are usuiong a condensor mic, you will need to supply your own outbaord phantom power, but that is not too hard to do these days. Again, I don't think you are going to see this thing on Aerosmith's stage, and if you had a good attentive sound engineer, they could probably take care of you just fine... or even better... but if you are like most of us, and having to figure it out yourself, this thing might really be useful to you.... it is not junk, and at $ 200 I guess it is affordable?

Great Vocal Effects At A Fair Price !!

By Steven Andrzejewski

from Millersville, Maryland USA

Comments about DigiTech Vocal 300 Vocal Effects Processor:

The Digitech Vocal 300 is a great sounding vocal effects processor that most people can afford. The sound quality is much cleaner then that of the DOD VoTec and the effects of the Vocal 300 are more numerous. The "Whammy" pedal is not very useful for most of my vocal applications, but it works very well. The floor pedal design saved me from having to go out and buy a rack. Overall I think the Vocal 300 is a good buy for the money, compared to other effect processors.
