The MiN Spot LED moving yoke fixture may be small, but it comes with several options, making it deceptively versatile. Besides its built-in automated (fast/slow) and sound-activated programs, this 5- or 13-channel DMX-512 moving yoke fixture from Chauvet allows you to control pan/tilt angles, RGB color mixing, strobe, dimmer action, and the Gobo wheel which features 9 gobos plus open, as well as a spin effect. Though the LED light gives us relatively little hit, the system is still fan cooled providing hours and hours of usage with no worry of overheating. This is one moving yoke light fixture that is spot on when it comes to price and pizazz.

Really nice, but I prefer the minWash
Comments about Chauvet MiN Spot DMX LED Moving Yoke Fixture:
Both the minWash and the minSpot are incredible little lights. I am very impressed with how compact and affordable they are. I bought one of each and quickly realized that the minSpot is a little less versatile than I thought it would be. From a distance of about 20 feet you can only make a spot about 3 or 4 feet wide -not quite large enough for my application. I also wish you could make the gobo's spin. Just remember this will only produce a nice crisp little spotlight and in some cases a minWash might be a better fit.

Great light with minor shortcomings
Comments about Chauvet MiN Spot DMX LED Moving Yoke Fixture:
There's a lot to really like about the Minspot. It's got low power usage, RGB color mixing, gobos, and small size and weight. The low wattage is great -- I measured at most 72 watts during usage (it's more during power-on, but less during use depending on the color) -- you can really stack a bunch of 'em up on a single circuit, along with your other lights, without tripping a breaker. There are a few misses, though: probably because it has RGB color mixing (which the ADJ X Move doesn't have), the closest it gets to white is really like a milky white with a blue tinge. Also, the overall brightness is less than that of a 150 watt HTI (or 250 halogen), so if you're going to mix and match with non-LED lights, you might need to adjust brightness levels and/or your lighting programs accordingly. The last thing is the gobos do not rotate (but they don't rotate on the ADJ X Move either). You can fake a rotating gobo by pointing it straight up then rotating the entire head, but that's a very limited approximation at best. Anyway, at this size and price, you really can't expect everything...All in all, this is a great non-pro light. As long as you know what it can and can't do, I don't see how you can go wrong with the Minspot!
