Behringer Micropower PS400

Comments about BEHRINGER PS400 MICROPOWER PWR SUPPLY:

I ordered this power supply to use with a Shure SM86 which requires 11-52 VDC for phanton power...This power supply works ok in the 48 volt position, but has a very loud hum in the 12 volt position...I am sure the voltage is dropping too low in the 12 volt position...I have been using a homebrew power supply using 2- 9volt batteries , a couple of diodes and a couple of capacitors...So I know my mic works great on 18 volts unless the batteries run down....If you are looking for something cheap and small, this is it....My advice is to buy better if you can afford it... Wish I had waited for the Nady to be in stock..
