This amp is unbelievable. I have this amp pushing Cerwin Vega dual 15" towers, and a single Cerwin Vega tower. It doesn't hold back for one second. The bass output and clear highs, for this price, nothing is comparable. AND a year of warranty. Cannot beat that!!!

Basically an exact copy of a QSC RMX2450, except that it has cheaper components and is made with much less quality. It sounds great, as would be expected from a QSC design, however it is nowhere near as reliable. If it holds up, it is a bargain. If not, it will be a big disapointment.

Don't take it away, these work perfectly fine!

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I bought one of these on recommendations for a budget amp to replace my cheap Gem Sound amplifier. First thing I noticed was how rugged the case is. I've used these on any situation from full range 8 ohm stereo, 4 ohm, 2 ohm full range & low pass, bridge mono 8 ohm & 4 ohm, & they are still going. I finally ended up buying a second one to power two Peavey DTH Concert Sub's, & I plan to keep both of my 2500's to take with me to a larger setup. I would NEVER think of trading these for anything! The only thing I would like would be to drop a few pounds of the amps, but that's why you have people to help, as well as casters. They need to put these back in production & keep it going. I plan to have 5 or 6 (4 for bass, 1 or possibly 2 for mid/highs) and definitely keep them for a long time.

Drop the Power Amp

By Michael W. Cooper

from Unicoi,TN

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I have owned this amp for about 6 months and It has never let me down. I also have the EuroPower 1500,which I have owned for several years. The 1500 has been dropped (in a non shock mount rack case) down a flight of 12 steps. It landed hard on the concrete floor below. The rack case was warped but the EP1500 was unharmed. Unreal. I was for sure,I would be buying another amp,but these amps are unstoppable. It is still going strong. The sound is very clear and punchy. These amps run very cool. Also, the speaker binding posts have been drasticlly improved. The older models are easily stripped when over tightened. Another note is: These amps are very heavy. I advise using a rack case with caster wheels on it. You will thank youself later.

How do they do it?

By DJ Ehmsi

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

How do they manage to combine so much raw power with so many features at such a great price. I bought this amp as a temporary replacement to my Mackie 2500 which blew a capacitor and after a few parties with the EP2500 I graduated my mackie to back up status. 2 speaker connection options, clip limiter, pass filter, mono options per channel, bridged mono, bridged stereo all options found only in much more expensive amps only. This amp holds all nighters with 2 CVega Pro-Stax 253, It plays loud and never gives up, clip limiter makes sure your music is never off.

Drummer/Sound Tech/Loud Music Lover

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

This amp is amazing! I have a pair of S115V tops and B1800X Bottoms and this amp is perfect for the setup. The horns on the Yamahas are dangerous to get in front of when you pump em! The Behringer subs WILL wake up the neighbors!!!! No more late night jammin with these babies on the scene with this amp pushin them! I'm being serious. I have a studio in a shop behind my house. We have rehearsed there for three years and never a complaint. The first night with these subs and the Ep2500 on the scene, we had police banging on the door within an hour. Earth shaking bass that can be felt blocks away! Seriously! If you want lots of power and want to spend little money- Look no further! The EP-2500 is what you want.

Over all a Good Value.

By Rick Massey

from Texas

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

Overall I have 4 of the 2500s, pushing my mains 4 ohms at 2400 watts each. I have used them extensively for a couple of years. One of the Amps has a dead spot in the channel one volume knob that doesn't effect the operation as long as I don't have it in that position. Minor annoyance. One of the units was DOA but behringer replaced it rightaway with no hassles. Is it the best amp on the market today, No!! Is it the best in its price range, Yes!! Bang for the Buck is very good. I would not be afraid to purchase another one or two.

Great Power AMP

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

Tried it out tonight for first time at practice and it worked great. Something to note is that when you turn the power switch off it takes quite a bit of time for the Green power LED light to go out. When the switch was turned off, I thought there was a problem as the unit appeared to be still on. It took about 1 minute for the LED light to go out. They will slowly dim. Also the clip lights lit up a little as it was powering down. This should help those like me who are just learning about the power amp function. All in all a great value and great addition to our bands sound.

quality piece of gear

By Eli

Comments about Behringer EuroPower EP2500 Power Amp:

I just bought two brand new peavey sp-5's, and I owned a behringer pmh3000 which I was very satisfied with, but it just didn't have enough power (the sp-5's are 800 watts RMS!!!!). I bought this amp so I could get a little more volume for the show I did today, and it worked out famously. The sound quality of the system is amazing. The amp provided more than enough clean power, but the real performers are the Sp-5's. Super clear, transparent sound, vocals and acoustic guitar cut through drums and heavy distortion like butter.
