These budget Audio Technicas are better (for my purposes, anyway) than nearly everything I tried costing 3 or 4 times as much!! So many headphones are not accurate and natural in the bass, but are either too boomy, or too lean. These AT's are just right in terms of tonal balance. Midrange and lower treble are a tad colored, but at this price, it's not unacceptable at all. I use them in home recording, and the overall mix is very accurate. These cans never let me down. And they're VERY COMFORTABLE!!!
