Comments about Allen & Heath MixWizard WZ3 14:4:2+ Mixer:
I purchased one of these babies, (after hours of research) and I must admit I was truly impressed with this mixer. I had used lower end stuff in the 300-to-600 range all thru my mixing years. This mixer performs to levels I never dreamed of. The eq on each strip is just amazing, wow, you even get two sweeps. (HM and LM) It is also very easy to get it up and running. The layout of all the controls are just lovely and very user friendly. I especially love all the additonals options you can create to get different mixes out to monitors, recorders, etc. I can't wait to patch it into my digital recorder and do a "live recording". The pre-amps on this mixer are just to die for. They are so powerful also. I was running my mike at 3 o'clock on my old mixer, I am at 10:30 on the AH. I rotated the input section to the underneath postion and it sits perfectly in my 10 space rack. This was very simple to do, only involved removing and replacing 2 screws!! I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone that is tired of messing with all the "entry level" mixers, that all sound just like each other. This mixer is very unique, I assure you, and you will not be disappointed that you made the move to a higher end machine. It is designed to be adaptive to your live and studio needs for many years to come. I look forward to my first use of this mixer this weekend, and I know there will be smiles in my band and on the listening audience!! Simple put, for the money, you will not find anything else in it's class, you get what you pay for!
