Improving on an award-winning formula, Alesis reengineered the speaker components of their famous M1 Active to produce the powerful Alesis Monitor 1 Active MKII Powered Monitors. And they didn't boost the price. Internal active crossover and newly designed dual amplifiers ensure a broad, extremely accurate frequency response, clear imaging with a wide sweet spot, high power handling and detailed highs and mids. 6.5" woofer cone is high tensile strength, low weight, non-woven carbon fiber providing quicker transient response in the low frequency range and more detailed upper mids. 1" pure silk dome tweeter for natural response and less ear fatigue. Internally mounted phasing plug and ferrofluid cooling. 75-watt woofer amp and 25-watt tweeter amp with 8th-order high-and low-pass electronic crossover filters. 2kHz critical crossover to improve mid-frequency response and midrange coloration. Time alignment circuitry maintains synchronization of the high and low drivers.
Cab offers smooth radiused corners for reduced edge-diffraction and magnetically shielded drivers for use near computer and video monitors. Horizontal or vertical placement.

From the first sound you play through these speakers you'll say WOW
Alesis Monitor 1 Active MKII Powered Speakers were built to amaze. For you audio phyle types you'll hear Richness and full spectrum sound moreover the dynamics of your music. Top speaker are all about the suability, the nuances of the sound. The M1 MkII active monitors deliver. I had a pair of $800 (each) speakers, after loosing one of the amps I was looking around and thought I would do some side by sides, I after having listened other big buck speakers, I made my choice with Alesis. My mixers are better than ever and have more predictable results. Oh yeah, their really quite, save the big bucks think about adding an Alesis powered sub woofer. Cool.
