The warm, rich sound of tubes . . . solid state reliability!
The Solidtube features a large-diaphragm transducer and a familiar ECC 83 (12AX7) tube. The Solidtube also provides a -20dB preattenuation pad for use on extremely loud sources such as guitar amplifiers, etc., and switchable bass cut and Ground Lift on the power supply. An included "spider" shock mount protects the mic from impact sand vibrational noise (the mic may also be mounted directly on a mic stand using 3/8" or 5/8" threads). The Solidtube comes in a rugged flight case containing a complete set of accessories including cables and a foam wind/popscreen. If you're considering the addition of a Tube Mic to your arsenal, the Solid Tube is the choice to make.

Comments about AKG SolidTube Condenser Microphone:
The AKG Solidtube is an amazing microphone. I really don't see the need to spend 5000 on a mic when the Solidtube sounds just as good and for a stupidly cheap price. Get one!
