The AKG C 535 EB microphone has the clean, open characteristics of AKG's best studio condenser mics, enhanced by a 2dB boost between 7 and 12kHz that projects vocals to the front of the mix. An integral 4-position switch tailors output level and bass roll-off for a variety of uses and situations. A sharp LF cut at the full output level reduces pops and handling noise for stage vocal use, and a more gradual roll off at reduced output is ideal for many instrument applications. Cardioid polar pattern. Frequency range: 20Hz to 20kHz. Requires 9 to 52V phantom power.

My Favorite Handheld... The AKG C535 EB
Comments about AKG C 535 EB Stage Microphone:
I am currently a Jazz/Pop singer with a voice that ranges from a Sinatra baratone to a Mathis falsetto, and I will state now with out hesitiation(having used it for a few weeks), that the AKG C535 EB is the best all around handheld vocal mic I have ever used. I tried an assortment of dynamics, Shures, the AT 4054, and finally the Neumann KMS105, and while I am a HUGE fan of Neumann mics (I have a M147 in my studio) the 535 is superior IMHO, for a male singer, hands down. Bright, articulate, and still full in the bass, and highly versitile with switchable bass roll-off and filters. But I use it flat, and I LOVE the tone of this mic. It's almost as articulate as the Neuman 105 (at 1/3 the price), but with much better bass response. Smoother and warmer than a 87A. Close to as full and clear in the bass as the large diaphram AT4054 but with superior high freq response and frankly.. sparkle. This mic has it all. It really emulates that smooth clear sound of an AKG 414 studio mic. Male, female, rock, pop, jazz, R&B, you can not go wrong with this mic.
