Wolf Rubber Bumpers are USELESS

By Kris Morrison

from Ogden UT

Comments about Wolf Shoulder Rest Replacement Parts:

I ordered what was called "rubber bumpers" for my wolf shoulder rest.Since the picture on this site shows the LEGS to the shoulder rest, I assumed I was ordering the rubber sleeves that fit over the legs. What I received is two little half round pieces of rubber. I have no idea what they are for, since there is no such piece on my Wolf shoulder rest. If they are a replacement part, what exactly are they replacing??) There are also no instructions that come with the part. I contacted customer service, and was told that if I just clicked on the drop down menu, a picture0of the rubber bumpers would appear. I tried this, but had no luck. I was finally able to find a picture of the bumpers on "Musician's Friend". Still no explanation as to what they are for. In sum, if you are looking for the rubber sleeves, don't order "rubber bumpers". Johnson String Instrument carries the rubber sleeves. They are called "Rubber Tips".
