Florea 2 Violin
Comments about Florea Recital II Violin Outfit:
The violin has proved to be an excellent instrument. But the bow completely fell apart less than 2 months after I got it and my attempt to replace it has been very frustrating.

Great for the price
Comments about Florea Recital II Violin Outfit:
First, order some good rosin along with it; the stuff included in the kit is worthless. The violin seems well made. No flaws that I can find. The pegs fit nicely, and it stays in tune. Sound isn't bad at all, although repositiong the soundpost made a nice improvement. As did better strings (any strings are better strings). The bow and case are probably woth what the whole thing cost. The only gripe I have, is that the fine tuners are hard to turn, but thats minor. Well worth the hundred bucks.

Excellent Beginner's Kit
Comments about Florea Recital II Violin Outfit:
A really nice beginner's kit. One doesn't expect concert tonal quality at this price, but it's a fine sound, more than we expected for the price. The photos do not do it justice: that dirt brown is actually a rich cherrywood tone. (We noticed no odd smells, and we're used to a lot of adhesives.) The case is great (remembering hauling a wooden cased violin as a ten-year-old): super lightweight, a neck strap to keep the violin from moving, a throw cover in satin and plush to protect it from the bow, room for two bows held by turn clips, and backpack straps on the outside. And unlike the other set this price, this one can be shipped by air! You need also to buy a shoulder pad to complete this.

Great deal
Comments about Florea Recital II Violin Outfit:
I'm a professional electric bass player and composer and bought this to fool around on (along with a couple other cheap instruments). For the price, this is fantastic - a violin, a case, a bow, rosin...you can't beat it. It is cheap quality and you can smell the cheap glue (Elmer's probably...) - you get what you pay for. But if you don't want to spend a lot of money, this is it.
