A value breakthrough in sound quality.
The Bellafina Model 50 Cello Outfit is built in the Ren Wei Shi workshops from seasoned tonewoods chosen primarily for their sound quality and secondarily for appearance (less prominent flaming). This permits building a cello that sounds and plays like one many times more expensive. But the Bellafina Model 50 Cello remains affordable to nearly all serious cellists of any age. Bag and brazilwood horsehair bow included.
A quality instrument that won't sink your budget. Call or click today to order.

Wow! Really good value for the money
Comments about Bellafina Model 50 Cello Outfit:
My first cello (in 1962) was plywood, high strings, and poor tone. Over the years, I have been in and out of cello playing, and recently back in! But finding an instrument that won't kill the bank and sound good has been a daunting task.
I have tried a few of these new inported Chinese made cellos - with mixed results. Some touted as "solid construction" were actually sheeted - in essence a plywood cello - and dull tone.
Then I happened upon this cello.....
The pros: Solid tone woods, ebony fingerboard and pegs, good construction.
The cons: I found the fingerboard needed truing, a new bridge, and reset the sound post.
Overall, for this cello, I found the tone and resonance remarkable - and I still have not put on the better strings yet.
Bottom line is that this instrument looks good, and sounds incredible, but will need a quality setup - as all of the less expensive cellos seem to need. It seems that the difference of many hundreds of $ in the price, is all the extra effort in set-up.
If you can research this and are handy, it can be done. Or even take it to a luthier for a good setup, and play away.

Ok Cello
Comments about Bellafina Model 50 Cello Outfit:
I received this Chinese made cello new. First impression was that it looks very beautiful. The instrument does sound nice. I would recommend (like I read in reviews) to "see and hear" the cello you're buying. The first one I received had a broken neck. The replacement is warped on the lower bout. I am a little frustrated. Only because I'm buying this strictly as a beginner's cello, I'll keep it. As I get better and look to upgrade, I will buy a professional cello from a local music shop. This was just my experience. Yours may be different.
