The light weight and shoulder strap are worth the price alone!

Comments about Protec Pro Pac Mellophone Case:

Protec's Pro Pac Case takes the trapezoidal case concept and converts it into a light weight portable casing alternative for bell-front mellophones. A shoulder strap (standard with this case) can be augmented with a backpack strap, further making this case an attractive accessory for mellophonists who tire of lugging around heavy cases by the handle. The case is constructed well. It's light (weighing in at eight pounds) and easy to carry. The only negatives would pertain to the zipper on the side pocket failed on my case almost immediately. Also, the nylon handles that connect with velcro over the top of the case seems to not have quite enough length on mine (doesn't permit full closure of the velcro flap). Otherwise, I would have given the case a maximum rating of five stars. There's little to no room for storage of accessories in the case, but the instrument will no doubt be well protected.
