Comments about DEG Dynasty Marching Bass Drum Case:

After looking for a YEAR for a 28-inch hard-shell bass drum case, I found, not only one, but several!

It turns out that Gator (who I love) contracted with all the main drum companies (Dynasty, Premier, etc.) to do a one-time rum of a 28 inch case. Each case is the same, except for the name on the front. By the way, Premier wants to charge a whole lot more for a case with their name on it. So... I bought one with Dynasty on it, and put a Premier bumper sticker on it!

ANYWAY... I was very disappointed in the design of this case. The lid is a perfect, Gator-design. BUT, the body is the same diameter. It is supposed to be a little smaller so the lid fits over it.

As it is, due to the immense size of the case, and the fact that the lid and the case are the exact same size, it is a fight-to-the-death to get the lid on.

What ends up happening is... you will notice that one of the sides is already caved-in (that's how the factory got the lid on). So, you push on this section, and the lid goes on.

For my case, I upgraded it by building and attaching a painted plywood base with casters on it for easy one-person transport.

Comments about DEG Dynasty Marching Bass Drum Case:

Here's the deal:

I have been looking for a case for a 28 inch bass drum for a year. There were none to be had.
A company has decided to produce (told it is Gator) this case for each of the drum manufacturers, with their name on it.
The lid is good, the case is weak, and the exact same diameter as the lid, so the case has to cave-in on the side to get the lid on.
