AIRlift is the latest development in the Yamaha Stadium Series Hardware.
The Yamaha Stadium Series Marching Tom Stand with AIRlift is designed to promote correct playing position on uneven bleachers and in the band room. Two unique technologies, the AIRlift adjustment system and patented Advanced Tripod System (ATS), make this possible. The AIRlift system uses a gas strut to make height adjustment smooth and effortless. ATS technology allows height of one leg to adjust independently of the other two. This means while two legs rest on the stadium floor the third can rest on a bleacher seat. For maximum stability on flat surfaces the Stadium Series Marching Tom Drum Stand with AIRlift tilts back slightly to bring the center of gravity over the stand's base. In addition to these two features, Stadium Series Hardware is made of lightweight aluminum tubes. The aluminum ensures transportation is light and the tubular structure is rugged and durable.
Using this stand means percussionists can easily go from carrier to bleacher to band room without sacrificing playing technique or sound quality. This translates into less wear and tear on the drum, and less money coming out of the repair budget.

Comments about Yamaha Stadium Series Marching Tom Stand with AIRlift:
Great stands - I don't know that we would be able to break these things. Great for the young tenor players so they can focus on muscle memory and learning how to play the instrument. We really only use them in the beginning of the season, and then on and off throughout so they get used to carrying the weight of the drums. As I stated in the title, these things are expensive for the independently- funded drumline, though they will most likely last forever so the Total Cost of Ownership is actually pretty low.
