I first learned to play in High School percussion class with these type of sticks. The weight and durability make them ideal for developing the wrist and finger muscles as well as "muscle memory" and endurance. I still use them in practice and for training students. One of my fellow alumni drummers refuses to use any other type sticks. Bonus: they can make about any one sound like a "heavy hitter."

These sticks are amazing. They are the best sounding sticks I have ever played, and they are extremely durable. I have had my pair of regular Delucias for a year, and they still are in excellent shape. The way they "play through the head" gives a depth that is unmatched by any other stick I have played.
