I like it for indoor marching
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
This head is an acquired taste for indoor marching. It has a darker, boxier tone compared to a Falam or an Evans marching head, and really reflects the sound of the gut of the snare. I have used the white and the black, and I like them both. They were easy for me to tune (14" heads) and they sat pretty well over time so I didn't have to do major tweaking on a weekly basis. They are far less harsh compared to the K-series Falams - paired with an indoor stick they come off very smooth.

great overall head
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
This is one of the greatest heads on the market for marching snares. It produces a great, strong sound, even when lightly tapped. Also, it gives amazing rebound no matter how low or high you tune it, or how hard you hit it. The only problem with this head is that it gets stretched out after a while, so even if you tighten the lugs as high as you possibly can, it won't get high enough. But, other than that, this is a perfect head, and it's cheap.

White/Black max = The Shizzle
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
My High School Marching band uses REMO WhiteMax Heads on our snares. While we have broken some, the sound is a world apart from previous plastic REMO heads that we used. The sound is more crisp and snappy and gives a sound more appropriate to the marching band. The head sounds "precise". Kind of sounds like you know what your doing even if you don't. Quite Durable head great for any marching application.

AWESOME !!!!!!!!!
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
We march the black max head's on our high school drum line and they are just awesome. They sound great, feel great, and are super tough. Can't beat it, these will last for at least a year even on the most serious drumline's.

crisp, clean, defined
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
White max batter side heads combined with a falams 2 k series snareside is the ultimate combo for a crisp corps style. Snare sound a mix of Mylar and Kevlar amplifies this I strongly recommend for all snare tech.

nothing better
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
This drum head is awesome and is by far the best. Most drumheads lose their look and sound fairly quick, but all it takes to keep this one like new is a soft cloth to wipe it with after practice.

Noooooooooooooo
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
I tried this head many times. It doesn't sound right when tuned high and does not have a versatile tuning range. I telling you the best setup for any snare is a black max on the batter side and a coated falam on the snare side. This produces great tone, rebound, durability, and most of all(for smaller drumlines)projection.

A wonderful batter head
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
I march with HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND.We use the white max heads and I love them. The snare response sounds so much better than the response from a falam.

BEST MARCHING SNARE HEAD!!!
Comments about Remo White Max Crimped Smooth White Marching Snare Drum Head:
I march snare in my highschool drumline and we used these last year but this year we switched to the Falams II. That was the worst decision we could have made. The white max heads are 10 times better than the out of date Falams. I recommend this drum head to any marching drumline.

My drumline just switched to the WhiteMax and we sound so much better! Not only do we sound good, but these heads are great on the hands, which is a major plus.
