Feels just like the DC17 snare stick.
The “ScoJo” rubber tipped stick is great for practice as well as achieving a muted yet articulate sound from any marching snare or tenor drum. The XB3 is designed to feel the same as Scott’s DC17 marching snare stick.

Comments about Pro-Mark Scott Johnson "Sco-Jo" System Blue Rubber Tip Practice Sticks:
I was extremely happy with my recent purchase experience at Music 123. The product arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I purchased a set of Scott Johnson "Sco-Jo" System Blue Rubber Tip Practice Sticks. They are awesome and extremely efficient at strengthening your wrists, hands and fingers for drumming. I was a little disappointed at their size though, but it was hard to tell what they were like from their picture. They are 17 inches long, which I love, however, they are just a little thick and heavy, however, maybe they are supposed to be that way for building power in you stroke, I'm not sure. They look and feel like they are more for Drum Corps Drumming than for Drum Set Players. When I saw the picture of them I thought they were the same thickness and weight of maybe a 5B Drumstick, but they are much bigger and heavier. However, I have been practicing with them on my practice pad for over a week now and I have noticed improvements in my power and speed. That being said, I would have given them a 10 had they been "exactly" what I both expected and wanted. However, they definitely do deserve and 8 or 9., and I am still very happy with my purchase and the buying experience with Music 123. They are very professional and courteous. Thanks Music 123 for a good purchase experience and I will definitely buy from Music 123 again, and I do recommend them to other musicians. God Bless.
