Comments about Grover-Trophy 10 Window Flip Folio Folder:
I am an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America. I teach bugling, bagpipes, and drums to the Scouts. I ntroduced the little device, along with the appropriate lyre, to the buglers. We shrank down the required bugle calls, for for memorizing and testing purposes, and placed them in the Flip Folio. They love being able to walk around and practice, without being ties to a heavy music stand. With less stuff to set-up and take-down each practice, it allows more time to play! It is a simple device, made of sturdy plastic. And the price is right!
As a quartermaster for a bagpipe band, I introduced this device, along with a clarinet lyre, as a solution for new students, and the experienced pipers as well to practice new music. The lyre attaches to the ring in the blowpipe, just above the stocks. This, again, allows the musician to not be tied down to one place, but to wander and play, as pipers do.
