Short version: Don't use the onboard speakers, and this is a really nice piano.

Comments about Casio CDP-120 88 Weighted-Key Digital Piano:

After unpacking this piano, I (obviously) noodled around with it a bit. It didn't take long for me to realize that the speakers in it are terrible. They both buzz badly, even at low volume. I was about to send it back to exchange, but my wife said she didn't care. Since the piano was for her, I let it be. Later, I tried using it through headphones, and WOW. The sound was amazing. I thought I was playing an actual piano. The feel of the graduated and hammer weighted keys was pretty darned good for an instrument at this price point, and once I quit using the onboard speakers, I won't get rid of this one until it dies. I thought I liked the sound through the headphones, but just for giggles, I played the "electric piano" setting through my Ampeg bass amp. Double my previous WOW. I had visions of Fender Rhodes pianos dancing through my ears.
