Comments about Tiery E30 Graduate Oboe:
I had a very bad expierience when ordering by phone. The first order placed November 16th was a shambles. I had ordered with UPS second day delivery to get the oboe to my daughter prior to the Thanksgiving holliday. I provided my cell phone and email address and asked for tracking info for the order. When I received none, I called the 19th and was told the order had not been processed. Somehow my numerals in my phone # were transposed and the same occurred with my email. I placed the order again and asked to have tracking info sent to me. Didn't happen. Called the 20th and at that time was given assurances that the order would go out and was offered a discount on the next purchase. Asked that the discount be placed on current purchase or I would cancel and order again and was told this would occur. Finally did get tracking info sent to me and oboe arrived as agreed upon--my name and street address spelled wrong. My next surprise is when I received my credit card info--I was billed the full amoiunt. Did some more calling and the people at the other end were very good, and the next day I received both invoices--one for the full amount, and one with a credit. I guess now I need to call my credit card company and ask them to hold payment until the credit appears on my next statement. In all, not a good shopping experience and it makes me wonder how well they might handle warranty claims on the instrument if needed. I purchase for a hospital so I'm used to a certain level of professionalism when I acquire products. The price on this product was good, so far my daughter and her instructor seem satisfied with the instrument, but it was not a clean shopping experience.
